We give thanks that God has used reSource, and generous partners like you, to equip Christian leaders who serve Him in the global Church. Here are some of the ways your support is impacting lives around the world:

Tafakari Centre, built with the help of reSource donors, recently hosted a conference on urban outreach. Dr. Nancy Njagi writes, “Praise God for the International Consultation for Leaders Working Among the Urban Poor.

In God’s kindness, more than 50 leaders attended representing 12 countries from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. Pray that these leaders would have the time, energy and wisdom to follow through on their commitment to fostering Centres for Urban Mission in their own places which grow the training of leaders to serve among the urban poor.”

Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary saw the graduation of its Class of 2024! “The end of August came with celebration! Although we could not have our formal graduation ceremony due to ongoing tensions in the region, we honoured the class of 2024 with a special banquet. The evening was beautiful, and the plaza at the back of the campus reflected the hard work of the staff. Luminaries and balloons danced in the evening breeze as our 22 graduates processed down the stairway to the applause of the gathered guests.”

Arab Baptist Theological Seminary also recently celebrated its graduates, with more than 30 students graduating from various formal programs, all of whom are already active in serving the Arabic-speaking church.

“My journey is highlighted by the profound development and growth of my spiritual and intellectual life. The in-depth study of the Bible, particularly analyzing texts in Hebrew and Greek, was a key blessing. It deepened my understanding of God’s Word to present the Gospel with greater accuracy. Developing leadership and service skills was another crucial aspect of my studies. Also, group management and effective communication have prepared me for future real-life challenges in ministry and in how I present the Lord Jesus.”

In April, a total of “34 theological seminaries from 18 African and Middle Eastern countries gathered in Nairobi, Kenya for Institute of Excellence: Empowering Women in Theological Education in Africa. Their goal was to discuss how to better support women in theological education.

We developed a training model that was mainly based on group discussions, with some input from the front. This allowed the school leaders to share their concerns and experiences with other leadership teams and learn from each other. Our prayer is now that what was taught and learned will take root in all our sisters’ and brothers’ hearts. Over the coming months, we will continue to walk with the schools as they take practical and policy-based steps to support female faculty. We praise God for the open hearts of these college leaders to listen, learn, and grow together.”

And through Seed Publications in Vietnam, “Recently a third edition of the Handbook of Theological Terms, English-Vietnamese, came out. Some of you may remember the first edition came out in 2009, so this is roughly the 15th Anniversary Edition! This edition brings several hundred new entries, which puts us at over 3,000 terms defined. Since its publication, I think this simple book has served more people than anything else I’ve written. It is helpful for anyone trying to bridge the gap between English and Vietnamese on topics related to the Bible, theology, or church history. It’s not exciting, but it is a useful tool for aspiring Vietnamese theology students, translators, and missionaries. It is a joy to see it continue to be useful.
